£800k still needed to send baby Charlie to US for pioneering treatment

A couple who launched an appeal in the hope of raising £1.2 million to get treatment in America for their sick baby son need to find almost £800 000 in two weeks, a fundraising website shows.

Specialists at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London think it is time to stop providing life-support treatment to seven-month-old Charlie Gard.
